Measure Eleven Crimes and Sentences

In 1994, with 65.6% of the vote, Oregon voters approved a bill known as Measure 11, which mandates high bail and mandatory minimum sentences for a list of certain crimes. Those crimes are listed below, along with their mandatory minimums.

In addition to mandatory minimums, Measure 11 crimes typically have a starting bail of $250,000 per charge. Although you can sometimes post only 10% of the listed bail, this is not always true.

Juveniles 15 years and older who are charged with Measure 11 crimes are automatically charged as adults.

Measure 11 crimes cannot be settled through a civil compromise. Defendants cannot pay off victims to drop the case.
